EXmatic pH Housing Control Units

The EXmatic 470 controls one pneumatic retractable housing. The EXmatic 471 controls two housings from a single unit, which suits duty and standby electrodes or two measurement points on the same process. Both run the same retraction, cleaning and calibration sequence, so choose by how many housings you need to automate, not by cycle behaviour.

24 VDC power and 6 bar compressed air. The compressed air drives the retraction and cleaning strokes, and the 24 VDC supply runs the control electronics, timing and alarm outputs. Check your instrument air line can hold 6 bar at the unit before you specify a run, especially on longer tubing runs from a central compressor.

Yes. Both the EXmatic 470 and EXmatic 471 have an output for an external cleaning pump, so a rinse or wash step can run as part of the automatic cycle instead of a separate manual step. This is common where the process medium leaves a coating on the electrode between measurements.

It retracts the sensor from the process into a cleaning chamber, runs the rinse and cleaning cycle, checks or performs a calibration, then returns the sensor to the process. The same sequence runs every time on a schedule or on a signal, so the electrode gets consistent care whether or not an operator is present.

Yes. Both EXmatic models have alarm contacts that can flag a failed cycle or a housing that has not returned to the process, so the fault reaches the control room rather than being found on the next site visit. Wire these into your existing alarm panel or SCADA.
