The Höntzsch ZS25 ZG5 Ex-d / ATEX is a heavy-duty cylindrical vane wheel flow sensor and insertion probe engineered for long-term, stationary monitoring of actual flow velocity and volumetric flow rate in explosive atmospheres. Featuring a 25 mm probe diameter, the instrument integrates a high-performance UFA transducer directly inside an explosion-proof, flameproof enclosure (Ex-d connection housing). The functional principle relies on a non-contact, inductive proximity switch that precisely tracks vane rotation, eliminating mechanical wear and drift.

Constructed from high-grade stainless steel or titanium with advanced ceramic bearings, the probe can be customized with specialized thermal seals (such as Viton, PTFE, or pure graphite) to withstand constant operating temperatures up to +500 °C.
