The Höntzsch Vane Wheel FA ZS25 ZG4 is a heavy-duty cylindrical insertion probe engineered for the fixed and continuous measurement of flow velocity and volumetric flow rate in clean gases and liquids, with short-term resistance to mildly particle-laden media. Featuring a 25 mm probe and shaft diameter, it serves as an industry standard for fixed measuring configurations and comes equipped with a protective connection housing. The probe is built from high-durability stainless steel (AISI 316L) combined with advanced aluminum oxide ceramics. Depending on the targeted thermal configuration, it utilizes Viton, PTFE, or pure graphite seals to withstand continuous process medium temperatures up to +500 °C and short-term temperatures up to +550 °C.

The sensing technology uses a non-contact, inductive scanning principle to register vane rotation smoothly without optical degradation or mechanical wear. For signal processing, the probe can include an optional integrated UFA transducer housed directly within the connection head, or it can be paired with separate external evaluation electronics or handheld units. It provides highly reliable measurements across massive turn-down ratios, with wide operational velocities and a pressure resistance rating up to 10 bar, making it ideal for tasks such as visualizing rotational patterns in gas flows, managing complex process exhausts, and monitoring industrial fluids.
