Inclined Tube Manometer

Liquid column inclined tube manometers for monitoring fans, blowers and filters in HVAC/R systems and clean rooms.

View Products

An inclined tube manometer shows a low pressure as the height of a liquid column, on a tube laid at an angle so that small changes move the liquid further along the scale. The MM series is built for HVAC/R systems and comes in two ranges, -100...100...500 Pa and 0...200...600 Pa.

Inclined Tube Manometer Guide

What an inclined tube manometer is used for

It gives a clear analog reading of differential, vacuum or positive pressure in air and non-corrosive gases. Typical jobs are fan, blower and filter monitoring, pressure and flow monitoring, and pressure monitoring in clean rooms.

How to choose an inclined tube manometer

Measuring range: choose MM±100500 if the pressure can go either side of zero, or MM200600 for positive readings up to 600 Pa.

Accuracy: each model is most accurate on its lower range, at ±2 Pa from -100 to 100 Pa on the MM±100500 and ±5 Pa from 0 to 200 Pa on the MM200600. Above that, both read to ±25 Pa.

Media: use it only with dry air or non-aggressive gases.

Output: it gives a local reading only. For a signal to a BMS or controller, see differential pressure transmitters.

FAQ

Common questions

What does an inclined tube manometer measure?

It measures differential, vacuum and positive pressure in air and non-corrosive gases. The MM series is commonly used for fan, blower and filter monitoring in HVAC/R systems and for pressure monitoring in clean rooms.

What is the difference between the MM±100500 and the MM200600?

The MM±100500 reads -100...100...500 Pa, with ±2 Pa accuracy from -100 to 100 Pa. The MM200600 reads 0...200...600 Pa, with ±5 Pa accuracy from 0 to 200 Pa. Both are ±25 Pa on the upper part of the range.

How is the zero point set?

Fill the gauge fluid up to the zero on the scale through the fill plug, then fine-tune with the zero adjustment knob until the fluid is exactly at the zero level.

What happens during an overpressure?

An integral reservoir protects the manometer liquid from leaking into the duct during an overpressure. The maximum pressure is 200 kPa.

What is in the MM-AK accessory kit?

The MM-AK has 2 duct connectors with 4 mounting screws, 2 device mounting screws, one green and one red marking label, and a 2 m pressure measurement hose.
