AC/DC Current Transducers
Hall-effect AC/DC current transducers with 0–10 V, RS485 Modbus or loop-powered 4–20 mA output.
A current transducer measures the current in a conductor passed through its hole, with no shunt and no electrical contact, and turns it into a signal a PLC can read. The Pixsys PTA-T-1PH range uses the Hall effect, so the same unit measures AC, DC or bipolar DC current up to 50 A or 300 A.

AC/DC Current Transducers Guide
Choosing between the VT and LP models
- PTA-T-1PH-xxx-VT: 0–10 V output plus RS485 Modbus RTU, configurable by DIP switch or MyPixsysLab software. Choose it when you want the reading on a Modbus network.
- PTA-T-1PH-xxx-LP: loop-powered 4–20 mA output in a compact housing. Choose it for a standard analogue input on a PLC or indicator.
FAQ
Common questions
What is a Hall-effect current transducer?
It senses the magnetic field around a conductor with a Hall-effect element, so it measures both AC and DC current without a shunt, without breaking the circuit and with galvanic isolation from it.
What does bipolar DC measurement mean?
In bipolar mode the output shows both the size and the direction of a DC current, for example −50 A to +50 A, which tells charging from discharging on a battery or charger.
Can I change the measuring range?
Yes. A DIP switch halves the nominal full scale, so a 300 A model can also work on 0–150 A, and a 50 A model on 0–25 A.
