Digital Differential Pressure Gauges for Cleanrooms & AHUs
Show differential pressure clearly at clean rooms, filters and fans with the Beck 990 digital gauge.
A differential pressure gauge shows the pressure difference between two points on a local display, read on site at a clean room door, AHU panel or filter bank. The Beck 990 digital gauge is a digital alternative to analogue Magnehelic®-style gauges, with one adjustable range and a 0 to 10 V or 4 to 20 mA output to a BMS.

Digital Differential Pressure Gauges for Cleanrooms & AHUs Guide
How a differential pressure gauge works
The Beck 990 senses the pressure difference between two ports and shows it on a clear digital display, so anyone walking past a clean room door, AHU panel or filter bank can read it at a glance. Unlike a mechanical dial gauge, its digital sensor holds its accuracy at low pascal readings and can also feed the value to a BMS.
How to choose a differential pressure gauge
- Range: one adjustable range covering differential pressure, overpressure or vacuum of air and non-aggressive gases; set it to match your application span.
- Output: menu-selectable 0 to 10 V or 4 to 20 mA, so the same reading you see locally can also reach a BMS.
- Response time: adjustable from 0.1 to 20 s to steady a fluctuating reading before display.
- Medium: air and non-aggressive gases only; for liquids, see liquid differential pressure transmitters.
- Mounting: choose a location where staff and auditors need to see the value, such as a clean room door or an AHU filter panel.
For a signal that drives a control loop rather than a local display, see differential pressure & flow controllers.
FAQ
Common questions
What is a Magnehelic®-style pressure gauge and how does the Beck 990 differ?
A Magnehelic®-style gauge is a mechanical dial instrument that reads differential pressure directly from a diaphragm. The Beck 990 is a digital alternative to analogue Magnehelic®-style gauges, holding its accuracy at low pascal readings and adding a 0 to 10 V or 4 to 20 mA output so the value can also reach a BMS.
Can the differential pressure gauge send its value to a BMS?
Yes. Alongside the local digital display, the Beck 990 has an analogue output, selectable in its menu between 0 to 10 V and 4 to 20 mA, so the same reading shown at the panel or door can be logged and trended in the building management system.
Is the digital gauge suitable for liquids?
No. The Beck 990 measures differential pressure, overpressure and vacuum of air and non-aggressive gases only. For liquid circuits such as pumps, filters and heat exchangers, use a liquid differential pressure transmitter instead, which uses a sensor built for water pressure.
Where is a digital differential pressure gauge usually installed?
Common locations are clean room and operating theatre doors, AHU filter panels, and fume cupboards or lab rooms, anywhere staff need to confirm a pressure cascade or filter condition at a glance without checking a separate monitor or BMS screen.
Why choose a digital gauge over a mechanical dial gauge?
A digital gauge such as the Beck 990 stays accurate at the low pascal readings typical of clean rooms and filters, where a mechanical needle can be hard to read precisely. It also adds a 0 to 10 V or 4 to 20 mA output, so the reading isn't limited to what's visible at the panel.
