Product Overview

The Chemitec S494N is a versatile family of membrane amperometric probes engineered for the precise measurement of various types of oxidants in municipal, process, and industrial water monitoring systems. This flexible probe line is capable of detecting free chlorine (both organic and inorganic), total chlorine, chlorine dioxide, chlorites, ozone, hydrogen peroxide, peracetic acid, and bromine. To ensure long-term measuring accuracy across changing process environments, each probe features an integrated temperature sensor that handles automatic, real-time signal compensation.

Constructed from highly durable materials such as PVC, PEEK, and AISI 316 stainless steel paired with a specialized microporous membrane, the sensor operates reliably with an IP65 protection rating and partially tolerates the presence of surfactants. Furthermore, the S494N complies with Italian Ministerial Decree No. 174 of April 6, 2004 (Annex III), certifying its safety for use in fixed systems dedicated to the collection, treatment, supply, and distribution of water intended for human consumption.
