Indoor Air Quality Transmitters

Room and duct transmitters that send indoor air quality readings to your BMS.

View Products

An indoor air quality transmitter sends CO2, VOC, humidity or temperature readings to your BMS so it can adjust ventilation for actual conditions rather than a fixed schedule. This page lists our Produal range: the room RTX-VOC, duct ILK, and the touchscreen RTX-CO2-D-RH-VOC, which combines CO2, humidity and VOC in one device.

Indoor Air Quality Transmitters Guide

The indoor air quality transmitter range

  • RTX-VOC: a room transmitter measuring temperature and VOC, with motion detection (PIR), for spaces that need occupancy-aware air quality control.
  • ILK: a duct transmitter measuring VOC, temperature and humidity. Its MEMS VOC sensor gives a reading related to the CO2 level, so it can drive demand-based ventilation without a dedicated CO2 sensor.
  • RTX-CO2-D-RH-VOC: a touchscreen room transmitter measuring CO2, humidity and VOC. The 2.8 inch screen shows live values, with up to six configurable screens for the readings that matter in that room.

Room or duct?

  • Room: use room transmitters where each space is controlled on its own, or where occupants should see the readings directly on a touchscreen, which also supports wellbeing and green building programmes.
  • Duct: use the ILK in the extract duct where one air handling unit serves a larger area and one average reading is enough, rather than fitting a sensor in every room it serves.

Which measurement do you need?

  • CO2 and VOC together: the RTX-CO2-D-RH-VOC gives the fullest picture in a single room.
  • VOC only: the simpler RTX-VOC, where VOC and occupancy are enough.
  • Duct-mounted: the ILK, where a duct-mounted, demand-based signal suits the installation better than a room-by-room approach.

FAQ

Common questions

Which transmitter measures CO2, VOC and humidity together?

The RTX-CO2-D-RH-VOC touchscreen room transmitter measures all three, plus temperature, from one device. Its 2.8 inch screen can show up to six configurable readings, so occupants and facilities staff see live values without a separate BMS terminal.

Can the ILK replace a CO2 sensor in a duct?

The ILK's MEMS VOC sensor gives a reading related to the CO2 level, so it can be used for demand-based ventilation in place of a dedicated CO2 sensor. If you need an actual CO2 value rather than a related VOC reading, use a duct CO2 transmitter such as the Produal HDK instead.

What does the PIR option do on an IAQ transmitter?

PIR detects occupancy in the room, so the BMS knows when a space is in use and can adjust ventilation, heating or lighting accordingly, rather than running those systems on a fixed schedule regardless of whether anyone is there.

Does the RTX-VOC also measure temperature?

Yes. The RTX-VOC room transmitter measures temperature alongside VOC as standard, and adds motion detection through its PIR option, so a single device covers occupancy, temperature and air quality for the room it's installed in.

How many readings can the RTX-CO2-D-RH-VOC screen show?

Its 2.8 inch touchscreen supports up to six configurable screens, which can be set to cycle through CO2, humidity, VOC and temperature readings, giving occupants visibility of the values that matter most for that room.
