Product Overview

The CNV520 Modbus RTU/Modbus TCP/IP protocol converter allows you to connect devices with RS485 serial and Modbus RTU protocol to the Ethernet network with Modbus TCP/IP protocol. With the CNV520 converter it is therefore possible to connect a Modbus TCP/IP Master (client) with one or more Modbus RTU Slaves. Via the available configuration interfaces, it is possible to configure options on the Modbus TCP/IP side (IP address, Net Mask, etc.) and on the Modbus RTU side (baud rate, serial format, time out ..). The CNV520 is equipped with an analogue input, a digital output and 2 digital inputs, which can be activated as additional resources to the protocol conversion function. Signalling LEDs allow monitoring of operation, Ethernet activity and data flow on the RS485 serial line. The CNV520 module is prepared for DIN-rail mounting to optimise space within the control cabinet. Maintenance and wiring are facilitated by the removable screw terminals.
