The PSD 49 is a compact, mechatronic direct drive featuring an integrated Nema 17 stepper motor, control electronics, bus interface, and a battery-free absolute measurement system. Specifically designed for automatic format changeovers in machine environments, this drive delivers high velocities at lower torques while maintaining a space-saving footprint. The absolute measuring system, capable of tracking between 986 and 4026 rotations, eliminates the need for reference runs, thereby increasing machine efficiency and ensuring highly accurate positioning.
For safety and system integrity, the drive utilizes galvanically separated supply voltages for control and power electronics, allowing for emergency shut-off functions without losing communication with the control module. It is designed for easy integration, mounting directly onto spindles via hollow shafts without requiring additional couplings. This vertical (longitudinal) construction model offers maximum mounting flexibility through an optional rotatable housing, allowing installation in any orientation without specialized angle plugs.
