NET485 is a signal repeater and galvanic isolator for RS485 networks: when distances are long and it is necessary to amplify the signal on an RS485 network, it is useful to install a repeater device that also provides galvanic isolation between communication branches and eliminates possible ground loops with the power supply. NET485 allows to increase both the number of connected nodes and the distance between them; it also galvanically isolates the connection to achieve protection against electrical noise typical of voltage spikes and electrostatic charges. It is widely used to solve isolation problems for devices with non-isolated RS485 communication ports, typically sensors, inverters, PLc, etc.
