Digital Temperature Switch

Local display and temperature switching in one device, set up by smartphone via NFC.

View Products

A digital temperature switch shows the temperature locally and switches an output at a set point, replacing a thermometer, a thermostat and a transmitter with one device. The Pixsys DST100 covers a 15 to 30 VDC supply, two PNP switching outputs, mA or V retransmission and AISI 304 or 316 probes, programmed by NFC or RFID from a smartphone.

Digital Temperature Switch Guide

What a digital temperature switch is used for

The DST100 measures temperature with an RTD probe, shows it on a local display, and switches two PNP outputs when the reading crosses your set points, for an alarm or on/off control. At the same time it retransmits the value as mA or V to a PLC. One device therefore does the job of a separate thermometer, thermostat and transmitter, with fewer connections to install and maintain.

How to choose a digital temperature switch

  • Outputs needed: the DST100 gives two PNP switching outputs plus an analogue retransmission, so it suits both an alarm or interlock and a PLC reading from the same probe.
  • Probe material: AISI 304 for general duty or AISI 316 for corrosive or washdown environments.
  • Mounting and reading: the display and electrical connector rotate independently, so you can read it in any position regardless of how the housing is fitted.
  • Set-up: it's programmed by NFC or RFID from a smartphone or a programmer, without opening the enclosure or needing separate power.
  • Supply: it runs from a 15 to 30 VDC supply, standard for most control panels.

For a transmitter without the display and switching, see temperature transmitters. For a plain RTD probe to pair with your own controller, see RTD temperature probes.

FAQ

Common questions

What does a digital temperature switch replace?

The Pixsys DST100 replaces a separate thermometer, thermostat and transmitter with one device. It shows the temperature locally, switches two PNP outputs at your set points for alarms or on/off control, and retransmits the reading as mA or V to a PLC, all from one probe.

How is the DST100 temperature switch programmed?

By NFC or RFID, from a smartphone app or a dedicated programmer. You set the switching points, the delay and the retransmission range without opening the enclosure or needing external power connected. That makes it quick to configure on the bench before installation or to adjust set points later.

What supply and probe material does the DST100 use?

It runs from a 15 to 30 VDC supply, standard in most control panels, and the probe is available in AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel. Choose 316 for washdown areas or where the medium is corrosive, and 304 for general industrial duty.

Where is a digital temperature switch typically used?

Common applications include hydraulic oil and coolant temperature on machine tools and compressors, and process tanks and heat exchangers where you need a local reading plus a switched alarm or control signal. Tell us the medium and set point range and we'll confirm the probe.
