What each Pixsys PLC and HMI covers
All the LogicLab-based models share the same IEC 61131-3 programming environment and function-block library, including PID auto-tuning and valve logic, so a program written for one moves easily to another. The PL700 is the exception, built for teams already standardised on CODESYS.
How to choose a PLC or HMI
- Operator interface: if the machine needs an operator screen, start with the Tiny HMI + SoftPLC (5 or 7 inch touch), which combines the display and the control logic in one unit.
- I/O and mounting: the PL280 is a compact 9-module DIN-rail PLC with integrated I/O on an ARM Cortex-H7 480 MHz CPU; the EPL200 is a 160 × 90 mm open-frame board for building directly into a machine's electronics compartment.
- Connectivity: the PL280 and EPL200 both run RS485 Modbus RTU and Ethernet Modbus TCP; the PL280 adds a CANopen master. The PL600 adds an OPC UA server and MQTT for cloud and SCADA connectivity.
- Programming standard: choose the PL700 with CODESYS Control SL if your team already programs to that standard, including EtherCAT master, PROFINET device and EtherNet/IP, with a built-in UPS for retained variables. Choose the LogicLab models otherwise.
- Power supply: the EPL200 is available in 24 V AC/DC, 115 to 230 V AC and 12 V DC versions, which differ only in supply, not in I/O or logic.

Common questions
Which Pixsys PLC supports CODESYS?
The PL700, running CODESYS Control SL with EtherCAT master, PROFINET device and EtherNet/IP support, plus a built-in UPS to protect retained variables through a power loss. Every other model in this range, including the PL280, PL600 and EPL200, is programmed in LogicLab instead, using the same IEC 61131-3 function blocks.
What is the difference between the PL280 and the EPL200?
The PL280 is a complete DIN-rail PLC, 9 modules wide, with its own housing, terminals and integrated I/O ready to wire. The EPL200 is an open-frame board, 160 by 90 mm, meant to be built into a machine's own control panel or enclosure rather than mounted as a standalone unit. Both share the same ARM Cortex-H7 processor and LogicLab programming.
Can the PLC connect to a cloud or SCADA system?
Yes, with the PL600, which adds an OPC UA server and MQTT to the standard Modbus and CANopen connections. That covers Industry 4.0 data logging and dashboards without a separate gateway. The other LogicLab models communicate over Modbus RTU or Modbus TCP for local PLC-to-PLC or SCADA links.
What touchscreen sizes does the Tiny HMI come in?
5 inch and 7 inch models, each with a soft-PLC built in, so the display and the control logic run on one unit rather than a separate HMI and PLC. It is programmed in LogicLab with ready function blocks, such as PID auto-tuning and valve control logic, and communicates over Modbus RTU/TCP and CANopen.
How is an EPL200 board powered?
It is available in three supply versions: 24 V AC/DC, 115 to 230 V AC, or 12 V DC. The variants differ only in the power input; the I/O count, processor and LogicLab programming are identical across all three, so choose the version that matches the supply already in your panel.
