Suspended Solids Analyser Overview
Suspended solids measurement tells you how much solid material is in water or sludge. In wastewater plants it's used to control sludge wasting, return sludge and thickening, and to check the clarity of the final effluent.

What's the difference between turbidity and suspended solids?
Turbidity measures cloudiness optically, mainly in clear water. Suspended solids gives the solids concentration in g/l, used for sludge.
What range does the S461 N cover?
0 to 30 g/l of activated sludge, or 0 to 100 g/l kaolin.
Can it measure MLSS in the aeration tank?
Yes. Measuring mixed liquor suspended solids is a typical use.
