HVAC Room Controllers Overview
In offices, hotels and hospitals, each room has different needs. A room controller lets occupants adjust their own comfort within limits, while the BMS keeps overall control.
Produal HLS 44 family
- HLS 44: individual room temperature and VAV control. Setpoint 18 to 26 °C (default 21 °C) with ±3 °C user adjustment, day and night modes, and frost protection.
- HLS 44-CO2: adds a built-in CO2 sensor (typically ±40 ppm +3%) for demand-controlled ventilation.
- HLS 44-SE: supports actuators with 0 to 10 V or PWM control, such as thermal actuators, and controls fan speed directly with 0 to 10 V. 3-speed fans can be controlled through an FCRY 3 relay module.
All connect to any Modbus RTU system over a galvanically isolated RS-485 bus, and run on 24 VAC/DC.
Typical uses
Fan coils, VAV boxes, radiators and chilled beams in offices, hotel rooms, meeting rooms and hospital wards.
