HVAC Airflow Transmitters Overview
Knowing how much air each fan actually moves is the basis for ventilation control, balancing and energy monitoring. Airflow transmitters calculate volume flow from the fan's or duct's differential pressure.
Produal DPT-Flow
- DPT-Flow-MOD: a multifunctional transmitter measuring airflow volume, velocity, and static and differential pressure, with Modbus RTU over RS-485. -40C models are available for very cold environments.
- DPT-Flow flameproof: measures air volume flow, velocity or differential pressure in a flameproof enclosure, with field-selectable units and 0 to 10 V or 4 to 20 mA output, for bag filter and dust collector systems.
How it measures
Connected to a centrifugal fan's measuring points, it uses the fan's factor to calculate flow. In ducts, it's used with a FloXact™ averaging probe.
